Apart from our fantastic staff, the Little Rock Funeral Home stands apart because of its one-of-a-kind facilities, which are perfect for either a traditional funeral or cremation. It is the only funeral home in Little Rock that has an on-site crematory complete with a reception center, which allows for family members to see their loved ones one last time before cremation at no additional cost. Unlike other funeral homes in Little Rock that outsource their cremations, Smith Family Funeral Homes can guarantee peace of mind because your loved one will never leave our care from pick up to the returning of the cremains.

History & Community

The funeral home itself has deep roots in Little Rock. Before being converted to a funeral home, the property served as a farm owned by the Knoedl family, who were instrumental in the development of Little Rock. Established in 2005, it was acquired by Smith Family Funeral Homes on July 1st, 2020.

We believe that every good funeral home should be integral to its community, a goal that can’t be achieved just by being there the longest. One of our core values at Smith Family Funeral Homes is giving back to the families who make us great, and we do that by supporting first responders, veterans, caregivers and others. As the only funeral home in Little Rock that is a member of Veteran’s Funeral Care, we offer unmatched support for our community’s veterans. We also host an annual Christmas toy drive to support the Union Rescue Mission Dorcas House in their effort to care for abused women and children in the Central Arkansas area.

Smith Family Funeral Homes President Jeff Smith acquired Little Rock Funeral Home from fourth-generation Funeral Director and Owner Brad Leggett. “The acquisition of Little Rock Funeral Home means more than just serving all of Central Arkansas,” says Jeff Smith. “It’s also about merging two family legacies that have a rich history of serving Arkansans in their greatest time of need. I respect Brad Leggett and Little Rock Funeral Home more than any other funeral home in Arkansas. We’re honored to carry their legacy forward.”
