Shirley McMillan Gentry, 84, of Little Rock, passed away August 28, 2020. She was born November 24, 1935 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Cecil Saul and Dollie Lee McMillan.
Shirley McMillan Gentry was a sassy little strawberry blonde born and raised in the Ironton Community of Little Rock. She was the baby of the family, had a sparkling smile and mischievous sense of humor.
She went to Fuller High School and was a lifelong member of Ironton Baptist Church. She worked at BEI and was especially proud to have worked on some projects for NASA and their space shuttle program.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, J.W. Gentry; sisters, Mathalee Kirkland, Doris Hallum, Olivia Spurgers and brother, Connor McMillan. She is survived by her daughters, Vicki Fiser Hall (Charles) and Gayle Fiser Lavender (James). “Franny” adored her grandchildren, Dustin Hall, Devon Tucker, Jamie Lavender and Nicholas Lavender (Ashley). She loved family gatherings, holidays and birthdays parties and got a special kick out of her great-grandkids, Ella and Robert Tucker, Kaden Sweat, Olivia and Oaklee Lavender.
She will be missed greatly by her loving family. The family wishes to give a special thank you to her “second family,” the nurses, CNA’s and staff at Greystone Nursing and Rehab.

Graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 3rd at Ironton Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, at Smith-North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main Street.
Covid-19 Directives: Masks must be worn and social distancing observed at all services.
