Richard Ripley

Richard Brandon Ripley, 61, of North Little Rock passed from this life on August 13, 2021, at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock. He was born June 21, 1960, at St. Vincent Hospital in Little Rock to Richard and Erma Ripley. Mr. Ripley was of the Christian faith. He was a musician, a master carpenter, and an inventor. Richard could fix or build anything. He often built furniture and refinished antique furniture into new and purposeful creations. He was formerly the owner of his own transmission shop and most recently worked as a truck driver. Although he was many wonderful things, he took the most pride in his family. Nothing made him happier than being called “Pops” and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother.

Left to cherish Richard’s memory are his devoted and loving wife of twenty-three years, Sandy Ripley; father, Richard Ripley of North Little Rock; children, Brandy (Jared) Gray of Russellville, Alicia (Robert) Mauldin of Sherwood, Aaron (Tiffany) Morris of Virginia, Kalina (Brandon) Bowles of Haskell; grandchildren, Madison, Cole, Garett, Jack, Lila, Aaron (A.J.), Josey and Nora. Other survivors include siblings, Scott (Lynn) Ripley of Idaho, Judy (John) Grasham of Texas, Dawn (Mark) Richardson of Georgia, and his always faithful companion, Great Dane, Allie, along with a host of extended family and friends.

Memorial services will be 11:00am, Saturday, September 4, 2021, at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10:00am.
