Phyllis Leona Taylor Doerr, 76, of of North Little Rock died January 7, 2020. She was born December 19, 1943 in Gurdon, Arkansas to the late Oran F. and Lula R. Taylor.
Phyllis was a member of Levy United Methodist Church. She was a retired Guidance Counselor at NLR High School. She earned a BSE from Henderson State University and a Masters and Educational Specialist Degree in Counseling and Advanced Counseling, from UCA in Conway. She enjoyed working on genealogy and had written and published a book on the Campbell Roberson Family Tree. Birthdays were important to her and she tried to always send cards to all family members and friends.
Phyllis was preceded in death by brothers, Jerroll L. Taylor and Oran W. Taylor; and sister, Martha Anna Mecchi. Survivors include her husband, Steven E. Doerr; sister, Lettina Taylor Greene of Georgia; brothers, M. Frank Taylor of Magnolia and Lano E. Taylor of Mountain View; many nieces and nephews, as well as great-nieces and nephews.
Graveside service will be at 1:00 P.M., Monday, January 13, 2020 at Rose Hedge Cemetery, Gurdon, Arkansas, officiated by Rev. Jimmy J. Mosbey.
