Margie Burry

Margie Louella Burry, 92, of Sheridan, passed away September 9, 2020. She was born to the late Ivan and Jettie Laura (Miller) Boyd on April 1, 1928 in Ripley, Tennessee.

She is survived by her sons, Pete Burry of Sheridan and Stephen Burry, Sr. (Shirley) of Gravel Ridge; grandchildren, Stephen H. Burry, Jr. Mindy Nichols (Luke), and Jimmy Arras.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Burry; sister, Catherine Moore; and brother, Ivan Boyd.

Margie retired from Southwestern Bell/A T & T in 1983 after 38 years of service.  She was a member of the Communication Workers of America and loved to go dancing.  She met her husband at Arthur Murray Dance Studio.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 17th  at Pinecrest Memorial Park.
