Doris Robbins

Doris Marie Robbins of Cabot, Arkansas passed away on May 28, 2020. She was born in Cabot, Arkansas  to James Emmitt and Eddie Cleo Magness.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Gene Robbins; daughter, Terri (Mark) Frazier; grandchildren, Brett Frazier (Taryn Arel), Matthew (Melanie) Burt, Bryan (Shannon) Brooks, Whitney (Jason) Taylor, Blake (Marcy) Brooks; nine great-grandchildren and other extended family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; children, Gary W. Brooks, Patti Gail Burt, and Baby Robbins; brothers, James, Roland, and Vernon Magness; sister, Nell Williams; and her first husband, Judson Brooks.

She enjoyed her family, friends and attending church, where she taught Sunday School Class at the younger grades. She was a big Razorbacks fan! She loved to go with Gene and watch the Hogs play basketball. They would sometimes go to Fayetteville twice a week. She always enjoyed the trips she and Gene made with their friends. One trip they started up part of the United States and came home the lower states, they slept in nineteen different hotels that trip. She loved cleaning, cooking and grilling out for her family.

Doris was full of life, until she was struck with Alzheimer’s, which she had for about five years. Then she was struck with COVID-19, but never had severe symptoms. She spent a week in the hospital.  Her doctors felt, having been through so much; she didn’t have much time left.   God decided it was time to take her home.

Graveside service will be 3:00 p.m., Saturday, May 30, 2020 at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Cabot, Arkansas.
