Carroll Ison

Carroll Allen Ison, 77, of Plainview passed from this life on May 18, 2021. He was born October 4, 1943 in Little Rock, Arkansas to the late Edward and Ruby Shirley Ison. Mr. Ison was a twenty-two year veteran of the United States Navy. He enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, gardening, collecting arrowheads and telling tales around a bonfire with family and friends . In addition to his parents, a brother Howard Ison preceded him in death. Survivors include children Lisa (Sam) Coulter of North Little Rock, Mark (Amber) Ison of Little Rock, Allison Phillips (Andrew Webre) of Little Rock; grandchildren, Daniel, Tanner and Hunter King, Avery Phillips and Ava Ison. Other survivors include great grandchild, Jordyn King; siblings, Morris Ison of El Paso, Carolyn (Richard) Smith of Sherwood, along with a host of extended family and friends.

Shaun Fraley, David Shelby, George Anousakes, Daniel King, Tanner King and Hunter King will serve as pallbearers.

Funeral services will be 10:30am, Saturday, May 22, 2021 in the Chapel at First Pentecostal Church in North Little Rock with Pastor J. N. Holmes officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at Rest Hills Memorial Park. Visitation will be 6:00pm until 8:00pm, Friday, May 21, 2021 at the Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home.
