Alva E. Talley

Alva E. Talley, 97, one of Christ’s faithful servants, joined Him early March 28, 2020. She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty years, Raymond R. Talley. She was the daughter of William O. Mitchell and Audie Mitchell. She is again with her parents, two brothers, and two sisters. She is survived by her son, Richard L. Talley (wife Sheila Parsons-Talley), daughter Deborah S. Talley, and many nieces and nephews.

Besides her family and her good friend, Barbara Haggerty, the great joys of her life were any babies or toddlers. She served many years as the nursery attendant of her church and owned/operated Heights Day Care in Little Rock during the 1970’s. Some of those children continued to visit and bring her small gifts.

The last years of her life she lived comfortably at Stone Bridge Senior Living in Conway, Arkansas.

The family wishes to thank all the staff of Stone Bridge and the nurses and staff of Kindred Hospice for their loving care of “Momma” as she was called by all at the center.

Internment will be at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander, Arkansas with a private graveside service with a memorial service later. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Conway Cradle Care, 2400 Prince St., Conway, Ar 72034.
