Marie Kidd

Marie Johnson Rogers Kidd passed away Sunday, March 28th, 2021 at the age of 96.
She was born on August 9, 1924 in Pittsboro, MS. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Luella Johnson, her husband Walter Rogers,a son, George Rogers, a brother, Harold Johnson and her husband, James H. Kidd.

She is survived by her sister, Patsy Johnson, her son, Ellis Rogers, his wife Karen Rogers, a grandson, Jonathan Rogers (Ashtin), granddaughter, Keri Hardage (Macauley),and two adored great-granddaughters, Raney and Noah Rogers. Marie is also survived by her late husband James Kidd's two sons, Jim Kidd (Suzanne) and Mark Kidd (Jennifer) and their families.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, neighbor, and friend. She was a great cook and loved to host family gatherings. Marie was a member of Calvary Baptist Church (Faith Class). Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and Eastern Star. She attended Wood Jr. College in Mathiston, MS.

Spring was always her favorite time of year. Marie loved her yard and spent countless hours maintaining it. Year round she always had something blooming. We can only imagine how beautiful her garden in heaven must be!

Her celebration of life will be held on Monday April 5th, 2021 at Smith Family Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. Little Rock, AR.  Visitation at 1:00 p.m., service at 2:00, followed by burial at Beebe Cemetery.
