Fred Pohnka

Fred William Pohnka, Jr., 68, of Little Rock passed away Wednesday, July 08, 2015. He was born March 22, 1947 to Fred W. Pohnka, Sr. and Bessie Mae Eden Pohnka. He was a 1965 graduate of North Little Rock High School, were he played football. Fred was in the Army National Guard, retired from 3M, was a security guard, a member of VFW Post 9095, NRA and Wye Mountain Hunting Club.
He is survived by two daughters, April Ashworth and Priscilla Campbell (Nathan); five sisters, Janie Sorrells, Peggy Coleman, Juanita Maxwell, Francine Fahlbusch and Freddie Mae Helton; and grandchildren, Richard Ashworth, Jr., Charity Grace and Hadley Campbell, Emily Ann and Jared Humphrey. He was preceded in death by his parents; and daughter, Charity Humphrey.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 5:00 PM Sunday at Smith - North Little Rock Funeral Home.
