Denver Roy

Denver Roy was born August 24, 1941 to the late Lester and Altha Roy of Thayer, Missouri. He left this world to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 10, 2020.

He is preceded in death by his brothers, Gene Roy and J.L. Roy. He is survived by his sister, Linda Farmer, and brother, John Roy. Denver is also survived by his wife of 25 years, Deborah (Chudy) Roy. He also leaves behind his son, Kevin Roy, stepson, Jonathan Bonilla; and in-laws, Tony and Orah Lee Chudy.

Denver lived for the outdoors; he loved to hunt, fish, and garden. He was a longtime member of VFW 1147 (Levy). He was also a member of the Old River Fishing Club and Elks Club.  Denver also enjoyed karaoke and was known for his kind heart. He was loved by too many to count.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Immaculate Heart of Mary of Marche, Arkansas; or to the Tony Chudy Scholarship Fund at Immaculate Conception Church, NLR.

Rosary will begin at 12:30 PM, Tuesday, June 16, 2020 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church.  Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 PM, followed by the Mass of Christian burial at 2:00 PM, Tuesday.  Interment will follow at Immaculate Heart of Mary Cemetery.
