Charles Ward, Sr.

Charles T. Ward Sr., 96, of Little Rock, Arkansas passed away on April 19, 2021. He was born April 24, 1924 to the late Claude and Winnie Wilkerson Ward. Reunited now with the love of his life, Carolyn Ward, they enjoyed seventy-four years of marriage. Charles was a US Army veteran who served in WWII. He had many great stories, some would say he was a walking history book. He spent his life after the Army in a variety of different roles, firefighter, 20+ years at Wonder Bread, and 15+ years at Vogel’s Frozen Foods. He then decided to retire, only to pick up another career working at Dillard’s in the men’s department for 10 years.

Charles is survived by his children, Charles Ward Jr., Vickie Weisman and grandchild, Lane Burnett, along with a host of close friends. He will truly be missed.

Visitation will be 1-2 pm Monday, April 26, 2021 at Smith- Little Rock Funeral Home, with a service to follow at 2 pm. Private family burial will be at a later date.
