Zuma Palmer age 77, of Arkadelphia, passed away Tuesday. December 9, 2014 in Arkadelphia. She was born September 17, 1937 to Archie Allen and Addie Mae Smith Chadwick. Zuma was a member of Baring Cross Missionary Baptist Church. She worked at Best Western Inn and Twin Rivers Healthcare in Arkadelphia for several years.
She was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Amanda Collins; one sister, Doris Chadwick; by two brothers, Harold and Taylor Chadwick.
Survivors are her husband of fifty-eight years, (Ret.) Major Bob Palmer; one son, Mark Palmer of Little Rock; one daughter, Ann Collins and husband, Troy (originally of Arkadelphia) of Guy, Arkansas; three grandchildren, Jeremy Collins, Tiffany Harrell and Tyler Collins; two great-grandsons, Conner Collins and Hunter Harrell; and one sister, Mary Amos and her husband, Russ of Batesville, Arkansas.
Visitation will be 6-8 PM Friday at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home.
Services will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, December 13th at Baring Cross Missionary Baptist Church 1511 Walnut St. Arkadelphia, Arkansas. Burial will be in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens.
