Zelma Nichols Pikarsky, 87, of North Little Rock, passed away Thursday, November 4, 2010. She was born May 9, 1923 in Hot Springs, Arkansas to the late Ernest and Sarah Lavender Nichols. She was in the Womens Army Auxiliary Corp, United States Marine Corp, United States Air Force, and Arkansas Air National Guard where she retired after a total of 23 years of service.
She is survived by her three daughters, Sandra Williamson (Gary) of Jacksonville, Susan Suits ( Richard) of Conway, and Sharon White (Galen) of LaVerne, California; grandchildren, Nathan and Allison Suits, Erin and Evan White; sister, Virginia Reader of Walnut Ridge; numerous nieces and nephews; and extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her two brothers, Harry and Ernest "Buddy" Nichols; two sisters, Ernestine Nichols and Eva Ragland.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday in Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main, 758-1170. Online obituary and guest register at www.nlrfh.com.
