Zachary Engel

Zachary Glenn Engel, 20, of North Little Rock passed away Saturday, June 18, 2011. He was born September 16, 1990 in Houston, Texas. He graduated Catholic High School in 2008 and was currently a senior at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved the outdoors. Zach was a loving big-brother, a wonderful son and a good friend to many. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his parents, Greg and Brenda Engel; brother, Austin Engel, all of North Little Rock; grandparents, Hollis and Joyce Marlow, of Houston, Texas; aunts, Barbara Snow, Cindy Putman, Suzanne Marlow, Tressa Howe, LaCrisha Shephard and Terry Faske; uncles, Jeff Engel, David Shephard, Ronnie Marlow and Wes Faske; cousins, Jennifer DeGroodt, Jennifer and Ashley MoQuinn, Axandria and Sharlie Shephard and Crystal and April Hilton; and a host of other family and friends, especially his very dear friend Katie Russell. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Art and Mary Engel; Uncle Ricky Marlow and his cousin, Mark DeGroodt.
Memorials may be made to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 7000 John F. Kennedy Blvd., North Little Rock, Arkansas 72116.
Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:00 a.m., Wednesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Burial will be in Rest Hills Memorial Park. A rosary service will be held 7:00 p.m., Tuesday at the church. Arrangements by North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main St., 758-1170. Online obituary and guest registry at www.nlrfh.com.
