W. L. ?Bill? Brown, 70, of Jacksonville, went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 4, 2007. He was born in Luxora, Arkansas on Christmas Day, 1936 to the late John Valentine Tucker and Ollie Bell Ashabranner. He was retired from American General Insurance after 30 years of serving his clients. Bill loved his family, going to the casinos, and cooking for family get-togethers.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 50 years, Wanda Garner Brown of Jacksonville; 2 daughters, Sheryl Brown (Jessie Sheets) of Gravel Ridge, and Marsha Hepp (Kenny) of North Little Rock; 7 grandchildren, Shane Miller (Michelle), Jennifer Jenkins (Andy), Billy Hogan, Michael Hepp (Jessica), Matthew Hepp, Dayne Hepp, and Dannah Hepp; 3 great-grandchildren, Blaine, Reed, and Ally; 2 sisters, Lois Ann Isom (Ben), and Pearlene Brown; 6 nieces; 6 nephews; 8 great-nieces; 4 great-nephews; 2 sisters-in-law, Gloria Masterson (Floyd), and Carroll Garner. He is preceded in death by his sister Corrine Gregg, and brother-in-law William R. Garner, Jr.
The family would like to thank Dr. Joseph Beck and staff, and also Arkansas Hospice nurse Molly McGlothlin.
Funeral will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday at North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ben Isom officiating. Burial will be in Rest Hills Memorial Park.
Family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Monday at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main St., 758-1170.
