Winston H. Rogers age 79 of Gum Springs died Monday, September 6, 2010 at his home. He was born February 14, 1931 in Clark County the son of Rufus and Gracie McAnally Rogers. He was a retired truck driver for Arkadelphia Sand and Gravel and a member of the First Assembly of God Church of Arkadelphia. He was preceded in death by a brother Jimmy Darrell Rogers and a sister Ophelia Hartsell.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years Louise Mathis Rogers, five sons, Don Rogers of Gum Springs, David Rogers of Gum Springs and his girlfriend, Kara Propes of Conway, James K. Rogers and Albert Wallace both of Malvern and Bobby Wallace of Gum Springs, three daughters, Shirley Cannon and her husband Rodney of Hot Springs, Sue Cotton and her husband Leroy of Bossier City, LA, and Millie Patterson of Gum Springs, four brothers, Henry and Thomas Rogers both of Ft. Worth, Rufus "Bud" Rogers Jr. of Bismarck and John Rogers of Malvern, two sisters, Clara Mae Robinson of Malvern and Erma Burnett of Grandview, TX, nine grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2 PM Thursday, September 9th in the Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Chapel in Arkadelphia with Rev. Temon Jenkins and Rev. Nathan Rogers officiating. Burial will be in the Richwoods Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
