Winnie Petty

Winnie Petty, age 83, of Kirby, passed away, Tuesday, February 9, 2016. She was born on September 16, 1932 at Fifty-Six, Arkansas, the daughter of Thomas Franklin Partee and Susie Jane Smithee Partee. On December 24, 1974, she was married to Harold Petty who preceded her in death on February 1, 2015. She was also preceded in death by her parents; her granddaughter, Tomi Lynn Myers; her brother, Ray Partee; and her sister, Inez Partee. She enjoyed quilting, cooking, playing dominoes and Yahtzee and especially spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by eight children and their spouses, Gary and Shirley Myers of Branson, Missouri, Julie and Ova Godsey of Corbin, Kentucky, Steven and Charlotte Myers of Camden, Missouri, Judith and Fred Struck of Viola, Illinois, Glen and Shelly Myers of Helena, Montana, Susie and Marvin Adams of Glendale, Arizona, Tom and Rita Myers of Ponca City, Oklahoma and Frank and Niki Myers of Laveen, Arizona; and two siblings, Walton "Cotton" Partee of Daisy and Faye Teague of Kirby. She was blessed with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other extended family members. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 13, 2016, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood, with Bro. Raymond Dees officiating. Visitation will be held Saturday, 1:00 PM until service time, at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Mount Joy Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ted Mansfield, Rusty Wilder, Russ Anderson, Nicholas Posateri, Ronnie Partee and Thomas Myers, Jr. Guest registry is at www.davis-smith.com.
