Winnie Kight

Winnie Wait Kight, age 84 of Hot Springs, died Wednesday, June 7, 2006 at the Pines Nursing Home in Hot Springs. She was born April 27, 1922 in Point Cedar, AR the daughter of the late Grant and Hattie Boone Wait. She was a housewife and a charter member of the Phillippi Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Kight, two brothers, Jessie and Charley Wait and four sisters, Ina Daniel, Linnie Olive, Lillie Kight and Erma Rowe.


Survivors include one son, Glen Kight and wife, Lisa of Malvern; three brothers, Fred Wait and William Waite both of Hot Springs and Thomas Wait of Pearcy, AR; two grandchildren, Shawn Henderson and Candace Crutchfield; several nieces and nephews.


Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday, June 11, 2006 at the Phillippi Church of Christ with Rev. Bill Carter officiating. Interment will be in the Phillippi Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-6 Saturday at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home in Arkadelphia. Pallbearers will be Dale and Tyler Kight and Bill Knight, Shawn Henderson, Tim Melson, and Nicholas Nottenkamper . Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Eric Carson, Perry Allison, Mark Gillespie and Glenn Mixon. A special thanks to Mrs. Pattie and staff at Pines Nursing facility in Hot Springs, Dr. Rob Kaler, Dr. Ferdinand Roda and niece Brenda Olive.
