Winfred Terrell Petty passed from this life on January 18, 2022 at the age of 69. He was born January 3, 1953 in Bauxite, Arkansas to the late Harley and Anna Lois (Louallen) Petty. Mr. Petty enjoyed working on and collecting automobiles and motorcycles but was always happiest spending time with his family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, William Petty.

Survivors include his loving and devoted wife of eighteen years, Elaine Mead-Petty; his brother J.E. Curtis (Karen) of Mountain Home, AR; loving daughter, Kim Dixon (Keith) of Camden, loving stepdaughter’s Julia Petty (Colby) of Redfield, Misty Wright of Indiana,  Laura Mead of New York, stepson’s Gerald Mead (Kristi) of Tennessee and Gary Mead Jr. (Virginia) of South Korea. Other survivors include grandchildren, Carter Dixon, Cooper Dixon, Brayden Petty, Allison Buie, Cassandra Wright, and Kaleb Wright. Papa Terry was also loved by his grandchildren Megan Mead, Katie Mead Carroll (Chase), Kelsey Mead and Karol Mead, along with a host of extended family and friends.

No services are planned at this time. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Mr. Petty’s memory may be made to the Arkansas Crime Victims Compensation Fund at 1 State Police Plaza, Little Rock, Arkansas 72209.

God Never Promised It Would Be Easy, But He Did Promise We Would Never Be Alone. He did not give us a simple path; He did not tell us exactly how to navigate our days. But He did promise a perfect plan—one that is continually unfolding with our every step, every breath.
