Wilma Faye Huxtable

Wilma Faye Huxtable passed away at the age of 74 in Hot Springs, AR. She was born on April 9, 1949, in Newport, AR. Wilma will always be remembered for her kind heart and dedication to her family and friends.

Throughout her life, Wilma worked as a waitress for many years. Her warm smile and friendly nature made her a favorite among customers. Outside of her career, Wilma had a variety of interests that brought joy to her life. She loved going to yard sales and collecting glassware. Her passion was gardening, planting, and tending to her flowers. This hobby allowed her to appreciate the beauty in everyday life and connect with the community. Additionally, she was an active individual who enjoyed exercising by walking around the Hot Springs Mall. One of Wilma's most cherished memories was watching westerns with her beloved husband. 

Sadly, Wilma passed away on February 8, 2024, following the same day as her husband. This heartbreaking circumstance highlights their deep connection and illustrates the unbreakable love they shared throughout their lives. She is also preceded in death by her father, and one brother Gerald Faulk.

She is survived by her mother, Esther Barnes; two sisters, Carolyn Slapnick, and Angela Griffin; two aunts, Opal Parker, and Marilyn Hathcock (Roger); and one uncle, Hershal Barnes.

Visitation Services will be held on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, at 1:00 pm with a 2:00 pm service in the Smith Family Funeral Home Chapel, Hot Springs. Interment to follow at Crestview cemetery.
