Willie Whitley
Willie Jean Whitley, 93, of North Little Rock passed away Thursday, February 9, 2012. She was born March 19, 1918 in Jacksonville, Arkansas to the late William M. and Etta Corder Tatum. She was a legal secretary for Madrid Lofton Law Firm and then for E.H. "Buz"Herrod and Joel C. Cole Law Firm until she retired in 1986. Willie continued as secretary and bookkeeper for Runyan S.I.D. #211. She was a member of Baring Cross Baptist Church and formerly Pike Avenue Baptist Church.
She is survived by her niece, Peggy Tatum Baer; two nephews, Stuart Baer and Mark (Debbie) Baer, all of Little Rock; two great-great-nieces and one great-great-nephew; and her special friends, Paul Herrod and Rickey Stone. She was preceded in death by her husband, James M. Whitley.
