Willie Spaeth

Willie Townsend Spaeth, 98, of North Little Rock, Arkansas passed away on December 8, 2021. She was born on January 1, 1923 in Deering, Missouri to Elmer and Pauline Sparks.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edwin Spaeth, Jr.; son, Dennis Townsend; step mother, Ida Sparks; eight siblings; and the father of her children, L.E. “Ewell” Townsend.

Willie is survived by daughter, Linda Kenner; half-brother, Jack (Jearlene) Sparks; step-son, Edwin (Denise) Spaeth, III; five grandchildren, Shelly (Jerry) Paul, Chris (Jennifer) Kenner, and Scott (Jennifer) Townsend, Emily Spaeth, Colby (Sophia) Spaeth ; eight great-grandchildren, Brandon (Melissa) Atkinson, Allison Paul, Kaitlyn Townsend, Karlie Kenner, Brittany Paul, Jennifer (Justin) Bryant; Olivia Boccarossa, and Austin Boccarossa; five great-great-grandchildren, Beckham Atkinson, Mason Atkinson, Ellie Wade, Everleigh Bryant and Baylor Bryant; and several extended family and friends.

She worked at ARKMO Power and Mid-South Utilities and retired in 1987. She was a member of First United Methodist in North Little Rock and worked at the Lakewood United Methodist Mother’s Day Out Program for fifteen years.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to North Little Rock First United Methodist Church or Alzheimer’s of Arkansas.

Visitation will be 2:00 to 4:00 PM, Sunday, December 19, 2021 at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home. Graveside service will be at 1:00 PM, Monday, December 20, 2021 at Elmwood Cemetery in Blytheville, Arkansas with Pastor Annie Lankford officiating.
