Willie B. Rogers, 70, of Little Rock, passed away on May 15, 2007. She is survived by her son, Reginald A. Rogers; daughter, Annette Rogers-Gary; and step-son, Melvin Rogers, all of Little Rock; brother, Lee Barnes of Chicago, Illinois; sisters, Earnestine Sykes (Jerry) of Pine Bluff; Lillie Jean Johnson (Dan) of Sylvester, Georgia; and Gertrude Jacobs of North Little Rock. She was preceded in death by her husband, Adolph Rogers; her parents, Rufus and Lillie Summerville Barnes; her granddaughter, Camille Lovelace; sisters, Willie Mae Nichols, Betty Barnes, Earlene Barnes, Orlene Collins; and brothers, Charles Barnes and Lewis Barnes.
Visitation will be Sunday, May 20, from 5-8 p.m., with the Rosary at 6:00 p.m., at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.), Little Rock. The Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 a.m., Monday, May 21 at St. Edward's Catholic Church, 9th and Sherman, Little Rock, celebrated by Father L. Warren Harvey. Burial will follow in the Little Rock National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Catholic High School for Boys or to St. Edward's Catholic Church and School.
