Willie Hipps

Willie Jo Hipps, 74, died Saturday, September 16, 2006 at her home. She was born September 17, 1931 near Arkadelphia, the daughter of the late Willie Rex and Lula Freeman Pierce.

She was a graduate of Ouachita Baptist University, a teacher, and played piano at the DeGray Baptist Church for over 35 years, where she was a devoted member for over 60 years. She adored her family and loved the farm life.
 
Survivors include her loving husband Billy Hipps; one son, Kevin Hipps; one daughter, Jo Carol Butler; and one granddaughter, Jessie Jo Butler, all of Arkadelphia.
 
Funeral Services will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, September 19, 2006 at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Chapel, with Dr. Bill Viser and Dr. Cecil Sutley officiating. Burial will be at DeGray Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Carley Bledsoe Jr., David Young, Dustin Thomason, Orville Buck, Nicky Thomason, and Scott Birdwell.
