Willie Marie Gatewood Finley born August 1, 1942 in Egypt, Arkansas joined her heavenly Father on January 12, 2013 after a long courageous battle with cancer. She was welcomed by her husband, Richard Finley; her parents, Willie H. Williams and Stella Arnold Williams; her brothers, Willis Williams, Lloyd Harris, John Sanders and Roy Smith; her sisters, Ruby Thrash, Lavern Holt and Luveeda Estes who preceded her in death. Left to cherish her memories are her loving children, Cecil E. Gatewood (Kari) of Smackover, Arkansas, Cinda Haralson (Herman) of Jacksonville, Teresa Garrison (Donnie) of Cabot, James Gatewood and Terry Gatewood (Sherie) all of North Little Rock and step-daughter Christine Willems (Wayne) of Little Rock; sister, Glady Jones (Bill) of Dinuba, California; brothers, Marion Williams (Cathy) of Fayetteville, Arkansas, James Williams (Jan) and W.R. Sanders, all of Hoxie, Arkansas; and special friends, Lonnie (Dorothy) Banks. She was an awesome grandmother to thirteen and great-grandmother to eleven. She will be missed by a host of family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to your favorite non-profit organization.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m., Wednesday at North Little Rock First Assembly of God church and final resting at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main St., 758-1170. Online obituary and guest registry at www.nlrfh.com.
