William "Bill" Moon

William E. “Bill” Moon, 83, of Ward, Arkansas went to be with the Lord August 15, 2019.  He was born in Romance, Arkansas on April 14, 1936 to Alene and Silas Moon.  He was an Army veteran.  He retired as a Maintenance Electrician for Amana in Searcy.  Bill was a member of Ward First Baptist Church.  A member of the Romance Masonic Lodge, he earned the rank of 32nd Degree Scottish Rites.  He loved restoring old cars and was an avid car collector.

Bill is survived by one son, Jason E. Moon of Cabot; two daughters, Michele Richardson of Ward and Christine Eichler of Romance; six grandchildren, Morgan, Taylor, Courtney, Holly, Madison and Marley; one great-grandchild, Eleanor; one brother, Hamalee Moon of Rose Bud; and one sister, Mary Kay Parish of Pryor, Oklahoma.

He was preceded in death by his wife Helen; his parents; brother Robert and sister Patsy Ann.

Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 17, 2019, followed by Funeral Service at 2:00 p.m. at Ward First Baptist Church.  Burial will be in Moon Cemetery.  Arrangements by Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home.  www.smithfamilycares.com
