William "Bill" DeShield Winder

William “Bill” DeShield Winder, 94, of North Little Rock, AR (formerly of Hot Springs) passed peacefully on March 20, 2023. Bill was born in Baltimore, MD October 15, 1928 to DeShield and Mildred (Wier) Winder.

Bill honorably served in the US Marine Corps during WWII.

Awaiting him in heaven are his parents; brother, Jack Winder of Westminster, MD; and his one true love, Carol Hoyt Winder (February, 2010).

Remaining to celebrate his memory are his twin sister, Beverly Rice of Arnold, MD; nieces, Suzanne Watson of Arnold, MD, Debbie Hoke of Warner Robins, GA; step daughter, Jeannie Goings; step grandson, Tony Pirani; step granddaughter, April Goings; and a host of great grandchildren in Elkins, AR.

He will be missed by a host of other family members, in laws, and many friends whom Bill considered his own.

Memorial service will be at1:00 PM Wednesday April, 5, 2023 at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home.
