William “Bill” Willis, age 76, of Kirby, passed away from this life on March 1, 2023.
He was born on September 30, 1946, in Langley, the son of Clarence Knight Willis and Cora Florence Plake Willis. He was preceded in death by his parents; the mother of his children, Louise Madge Livingston; his four brothers, Ed Willis, Norman Willis, James Willis, and Cloyce Willis; and his two sisters, Gladys Sharp, and Mary Christopher.
Bill was a jack-of-all-trades. In his working career he worked many years at a sawmill. He never met a stranger. Bill loved wade fishing, riding his side-by-side, and most of all, spoil his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. To know Bill was to love Bill and he will be missed by all that knew and loved him.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Chuck and Karen Willis of Kirby; his two daughters and son-in-law, Debbie and Steve Ramsey of Oklahoma, and Crystal Baker of Oklahoma; his grandchildren and their spouses, Jessica and Cody Willis, Sam and Danielle Willis, Larry Roberts, Latosha Gause, Ashley Strokes, Aaron Edward Ramsey, Adam Ray Ramsay and Cody Woodall; his seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and a host of wonderful friends.
Graveside services will be held Monday, March 6, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Athens Cemetery with Bro. Cecil Willis Officiating.
Pallbearers will be Ron Willis, Sam Willis, Cody Woodall, Bobby Sharp, Richard Harner, and Billy Dave Plake.
Honorary Pallbearer will be Joe Harner.
Arrangements are under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Home-Glenwood, 209 North Third Street, Glenwood, AR 71943.
