William C. "Bill" Tilley died on Sunday December 11, 2016. Bill was born on October 30, 1956 in Little Rock and was the youngest son of Ray and Grace Tilley and "little brother" to Bryan and Jim.
Bill graduated from the University of Arkansas with Batchelor's and Master's degrees and LSU with a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. He practiced medicine in Little Rock for 30 years before his illness would not let him provide care to the animals and families he loved so dearly.
Bill married his soulmate and best friend, Karen, and they enjoyed 21 years of marriage and life together. He was a friend and mentor to many and whether it was veterinary medicine, spear fishing (his true away from work passion) or working in his shop or yard, you could always count on Bill to be in the middle of a project or coaching you on how to do yours better.
Bill is survived by his wife, Karen, mother, Grace Magie, brothers Bryan (Letha) and Jim (Holly) In-laws Sam and Pat Sample, Kathy Vinyard (Eric) Sharen Woodard (Harold) and a host of close family members and friends too numerous to mention.
The family would like to express our most heartfelt thanks to Donna Easley who Bill cherished as a friend and who was there for him and us during the hardest times of his illness. Brian Kohler was Bill's longtime partner in veterinary medicine and someone who Bill loved like a brother. Also, a special thanks to Dr. Richard Nicholas who was always there when Bill needed him.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00am Thursday December 15 at St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Little Rock. A reception in the church parish hall will follow the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to "Help 4 Paws", #6 Ridgefield Cove, Little Rock 72223 or a favorite charity of your choice.
Arrangements by Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct., (501)224-2200. Bill's online guestbook may be signed at www.littlerockfuneralhome.com.
