William "Bill" Smith, Jr.

We are sad to announce the passing of William “Bill” Smith Jr, 69, of Royal Arkansas, on March 10th, 2023.  While his passing was unexpected, he had enough time with us to leave a lasting impact.

Bill spent his life as an educator.  He retired as a tenured professor of business at Pepperdine University in Malibu.  He was a devoted Razorbacks fan, an avid outdoorsman, a dedicated father and family man.  His naturally caring demeanor left indelible marks on his family, students, and friends alike. 

He was predeceased in death by his parents, Bill and Ruby Wray Smith; and his sister, Susan.  

He is survived by his wife, Nora Smith, and his children: Lenora Graziani of Hot Springs, Veronica Cameron of Crossett, Stephanie Arnold of Oklahoma City, Derek Smith of Lubbock and Damon Smith of Austin as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and grandchildren (great and otherwise). He will be sorely missed and will always hold a place in our hearts. 

          There will be a private visitation with family. 

          A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, March 15, 2023, in the Smith Family Funeral Home              Chapel, Hot Springs.     

          Honorary pallbearers will be John Day, Roger Maddox, Lonnie Wagner, Larry Hudson, Terry Williams, Monroe Loy.
