William Smiddy, Jr
William Tom Smiddy, Jr., age 56 of Benton, passed away Friday, January 22, 2016 at home with family. He was born on November 6, 1959 in Lafollette, Tennessee; and he was the son of William Tom Smiddy, Sr. and Polly Ellen (Rains) Smiddy.
Tom was a retail manager for Love's Travel Stops for ten years, and he enjoyed lutherie, leather crafts, model building, painting, music, and an avid reader.
He is preceded in death by his mother Polly Ellen (Rains) Smiddy.
Survivors include his father Tom Smiddy Sr. and Lavonne Smiddy of Swan River, MN; siblings Mona Leisa Belgrave of Maplewood, MN, Tim and Joy Smiddy of Sherwood, AR, Melody and Jerry Daley of Jacobson, MN; his children William Tom Smiddy, III and Sarah Smiddy of Arlington, WA, Adam Smiddy of Cheyenne, WY, and Jessica Smiddy of Little Rock, Arkansas; grandchildren Emma, Emilee, Liam and Joshua, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be at 6:00 p.m., Friday, January 29, 2016 at Huson Funeral Home Chapel at 7700 Hwy 107, Sherwood, Arkansas, with burial following at a later date at Sago Cemetery in Swan River, Minnesota.
Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, January 28, 2016 at Huson Funeral Home in Sherwood.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Arkansas Children's Hospital at 800 Marshall St, Little Rock, AR 72202.
