William Simon,

William Albert Simon, Sr., 74, of Beebe, Arkansas, was born May 13, 1937, at Compton, California, to Claude Gill and Wanetta Opal (Reynolds) Simon, and he died August 3, 2011.
He is survived by his wife of fifty-one years, Nita J. (Johnese) Simon; three daughters, Michelle Kennedy (Doug) of Beebe, Debra Daniels of Mabelvale, Rebecca Jackson (Rick) of Beebe; one son, William Simon Jr., of Beebe; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; many step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, James Simon of Eagle Point, Oregon; sisters, Yvonne Perry of Lakeport, California, Claudia Grate of Eureka, California, and Kathy Hurt of Redding, California; and his beloved dog, Ted E. Bear. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Michael Simon.
Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Funeral will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 6, 2011, at Westbrook Funeral Home, with burial in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens.
