William Charles "Bill" Ruffiner, age 84, of North Little Rock passed away Thursday, May 13, 2010. He was born April 23, 1926, in Morrilton, Arkansas, a son of Ernest H. Ruffiner and Montine Tillet Ruffiner. He attended Sacred Heart Catholic School in Morrilton, and served in the Navy in WWII. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, a member of the NLR Optimist Club as well as the Knights of Columbus and a member of the German American Club.
He was preceded in death by son William Charles "Chip" Ruffiner, Jr., brothers, James Ruffiner (infant), Ernest H. Ruffiner, Jr, sisters Dorothy Ruffiner Wiedower and Helen Ruffiner Zimmerman. Survivors are his wife of 47 years Ellen Joan Meek Ruffiner, daughter Janica Lynn McGinness (Paul, Jr), son Jonathon Henry Ruffiner, grandchildren, Laura Madelyn McGinness and Mallory Paulette McGinness, brothers Robert Ruffiner, Larry Ruffiner (Barbara), sisters Geraldine Ruffiner Overbey, Mary Ruffiner Stobaugh and Betty Ruffiner Stone (Duane) and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation and rosary will be at 5:00 p.m. Sunday, May 16th, 2010 at North Little Rock Funeral Home. Service will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 17th, 2010 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in NLR with burial immediately following at Edgewood Cemetery in NLR.
