William Rountree

William Franklin Rountree, age 73, of Sherwood, born June, 26 1933, to Earl Wayne and Mable Rountree of Pittsburg, Texas. After a courageous year-long battle with cancer, because of his relationship with Jesus Christ, Frank won the fight on Thursday, July 27th, when he moved to Heaven to be with his Savior. Frank was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Janie Ruth, his parents and his brothers Earl Wayne II and Pat Rountree. He is survived by: Brad and Rhonda Rountree of Mesquite, Texas, and their son Timothy, Linda Gail and David Smith of Maumelle, and their son Joshua, Doug and Jayne Ann Rountree of Hot Springs, and their children
Elizabeth, John and Sarah, all whom he loved dearly.

Frank was a charter member of Faith Baptist Church in North Little Rock, where he served His Lord and church family his entire life. He was well known in both his church and the community for his music ministry of harmonica playing for friends and shut-ins.

The family wishes to say a special word of thanks to the doctors and nurses of McClellan Veterans Hospital of Little Rock for the wonderful care they provided. .

A worship service celebrating his life will be held at Faith Baptist Church, 109 Tanglewood Dr, NLR, on Monday, July, 31 at 1:30 pm. Interment will follow at Rest Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive guests at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main St., 758-1170 on Sunday evening, July 30th from 6 to 8 pm.
