William Paul Hill

William Paul Hill, age 71, of Glenwood, passed away Sunday, September 22, 2019. He was born on April 30, 1948, in Norman, the son of Daniel Silas Hill and Virginia Lee Burris Hill. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Paul William Hill and Troy Andrew Hill; one brother, LeRoy Hill; two sisters, Dorothy England and Rosemary Hill; and one step-granddaughter, Ashton Buck. William was a Christian in his faith and grew up in Norman. He endured many physical injuries in his lifetime, but always seemed to recover. He had retired from Weyerhaeuser after working twelve years and also retired from Meyers Bakery after fourteen years of service. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed deer hunting and fishing. William enjoyed watching football and cheering on the Dallas Cowboys and Arkansas Razorbacks. He will be missed by everyone who knew and loved him. He is survived by his daughter, Colleen Cowart and her partner, Angela Carmack of Glenwood; three grandchildren, Tanner Wilson, Chloe Cowart and Zoey Cowart; one great-grandchild on the way; two step-daughters, Terisa Hughes of Glenwood and Christina Richards of Kirby; six step-grandchildren, Makyla, Colby, Garrett, Tina, Cindy and Bobby; two brothers and their spouses, Timothy and Tresa Hill of Glenwood and Darrell and Sharon Hill of Mountain Pine; three sisters and their spouses, Linda and Leo Green of Glenwood, Marilyn and Tillman Shirley of Amity and Rosa Roach of Hot Springs; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, September 28, 2019, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood, with Bro. Vernon Wehunt officiating. Visitation will be held Friday evening, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Interment will be in the Black Springs Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Randy Green, Josh Brewer, Ricky Brewer, Brandon Cogburn, Charles Roach, Tony Hill, Matthew Cowart and Mike Hill. Guest registry is at www.davis-smith.com.
