William O. Parks, Jr., 93, of Little Rock, passed away August 20, 2010. Born in England, Arkansas to William O. and Sarah Wilson Parks, he was a United States Marine Corps WWII Veteran and a retired Engineer with the Cotton Belt Railroad. He was a member of Eighth Street Baptist Church in North Little Rock.
In addition to his parents, William was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille, one son, and his siblings. He is survived by his son, Michael Parks of North Little Rock; daughter and caregiver, Marilyn Coley of Little Rock; seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be held on Friday, August 27, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Robinson Mortuary Chapel, officiated by Michael Kenner. Interment will follow at the Little Rock National Cemetery. Family hour will be Thursday, August 26, 2010 from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
