Bill Ivy, 70, of North Little Rock passed away Tuesday, November 27, 2007. He was born in Lynch, Kentucky. He was proud of his service in the U.S. Navy as a corpsman and served in Puerto Rico and Lebanon. He received his Master of Business Administration and Bachelor of Science from the University of Central Arkansas and worked as an X-ray technician for over 40 years. He was a member of the American Society of Radiology- American Registered Technologist and President and Chairman of the Board of the Long Beach X-ray Society. Bill loved to sing ?Happy Birthday?, call the hogs, all sports, blue grass and country music, cornbread, buttermilk and black-eyed peas. He was an extraordinary man who always put others first. A big man with an even bigger heart that everyone loved and he loved them too. He cherished his family who loved him deeply.
He is survived by his mother, Margaret King Ivy, of North Little Rock; wife, Rita Jean Williams Ivy, of North Little Rock; two daughters, Kandy Jean Ivy Heinemann and husband, Phillip, of Hot Springs and Kelli Jean Ivy-Nelson, of North Little Rock; two granddaughters, Amber Ivy Nelson and Sarah Nicole Heinemann; and many beloved nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father William L. Ivy, Sr. and his son William Osborn Ivy.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M., Saturday at North Little Rock Funeral Chapel. Burial will be held 10:00 A.M., Monday at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery.
