William Frederick Hailey, 79, of Little Rock, passed away January 26, 2010. Born December 31, 1930 in Webster Groves, Missouri to John and Meta Stoecker Hailey, he was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and was an agent supervisor for the Missouri Conservation Commission and an assistant chief at the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission. He enjoyed his membership in the Little Rock Audubon Society Chapter and the time he spent with his Sunday School friends and associates at First Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Goldie Wilson Hailey and a sister, Johanna Ellis of Blue Spring, Missouri.
Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 4-6 p.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.), Little Rock.
Services will be Thursday, January 28 at 1:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church, 62 Pleasant Valley Drive, officiated by Dr. John Wright and Rev. Chris Perry, followed by interment at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock. Memorials may be made to the Gideon Society or to the Arkansas Baptist Children's Home, 22 W. Pope St., Monticello, AR 71655.
