William Garrett,

William H. Garrett, Jr., 66, of Mabelvale, passed away Friday, April 23, 2010. Born in Little Rock on August 7, 1943 to the late William H. and Eleene Stainer Garrett, he was a United States Army veteran and a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of forty-three years, Mei Chu Shen Garrett; son, Dennis W. Garrett (Tammy) of Judsonia; daughter, Christine L.Wilkens (Brian) of Denver, Colorado; brothers, Lee Eugene Garrett (Peggy) of Benton and Joseph M. Garrett (Susie) of Mabelvale; sister, Patricia Elizabeth Schlesier of Mabelvale; and three grandchildren, Brandon, Brittany and Nicholas.
The family will greet friends from 5-7 p.m. on Monday, April 26 at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.). Graveside services with Military Honors will be held on Wednesday, April 28 at 10:00 a.m. at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock, officiated by Rev. Rick Porter. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, 24310 North Sardis Rd., Bauxite, AR 72011.
