William Bradley “Mr. Bill” Gifford, 67, of Bryant, Arkansas went to be with the Lord on May 28, 2023. He was born January 28, 1956, in Picayune, Mississippi to the late William and Anna (Smith) Gifford.
Mr. Bill loved the Lord and was a member of First Baptist Church of Benton. He retired after serving many years as the custodian at Howard Perrin Elementary School in Benton. Mr. Bill enjoyed researching family genealogy. He was a huge history buff and loved studying historical events, people, and places. Mr. Bill was a gentle spirit, who didn’t anger easily. He was a peacekeeper and was never argumentative. Mr. Bill was always dependable and quiet. He was one of the good guys who you could always count on. Mr. Bill loved his furry companions, Silver and Charlie. His family was most important to Bill and he loved them unconditionally.
Preceding Mr. Bill in death are his parents, William and Anna Gifford; and sister, Nancy Rose.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his nieces: Ambi (Jay) Gordon of Joshua, Texas, and Melode (Stephen) Strawn of San Antonio, Texas; nephew, David (Lori) Rose of Benton, Arkansas; brother-in-law, Richard Rose of Benton, Arkansas; several great nieces and nephews, family members, and friends who love Mr. Bill and will miss him always.
Visitation will be held from 12:30-2:30 PM, Thursday, June 1, at Smith-Benton Funeral Home, 322 N. Market Street, Benton, Arkansas. Graveside service will follow at 3:00 PM at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander, Arkansas. Family will be gathered at David and Lori's home prior to the service and welcome guests and funeral tributes.
