William Gann Glenn

Malvern

William Gann Glenn, 72, of Malvern, Arkansas passed away February 3, 2023.  He was born on September 15, 1950 in Benton, Arkansas to the late William and Ocia (Wallace) Glenn.

William proudly served in the United States Army for 21 years.  Following his retirement from the military, he began a twenty-four year career in law enforcement.  William served as the Saline County deputy, Garland County deputy, and as a Hot Springs Village patrol officer from 1998-2014.  In 1995, he attended the Law Enforcement Training Academy.  Although he was the oldest student, he was still able to keep up with the other recruits and even excel over them.  William was an avid reader, and Louis L’Amour books were his favorite.  Family was most important to William, and he looked forward to family get-togethers.  He was a big joker and flirt, yet forgiving with a huge heart ready to love his family unconditionally.  William was an amazing man who found a way to survive in his “Estrogen Ocean” being surrounded by his wife, daughters, and granddaughters.

Preceding William in death is his wife, Lana Glenn; daughter, Trisha Rice; siblings:  Curtis Glenn, Rosie Ammons, Lena Holdridge, Arkie Evans, Loraine Kouma, and Henry Glenn.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his daughter, Tyanda Johnson; granddaughters:  Ocia Nicole Parrish, Ashlyn Paige Rice (Donald Lovell), and Breanna Cecille Penman; great-granddaughter, Trynity Laine and one soon arriving great-granddaughter, Kyndell Wayne; brothers:  Eddie Glenn, James Glenn (Delores), and Dennis Glen; special nephew, Jason Isom (Amber); and many family members and friends who love William and will miss him always.

Visitation will be held 6:00-7:00 PM, Thursday, February 9, followed by funeral service, officiated by Bro. Jeff Krisell, at 7:00 PM at Smith-Benton Funeral Home, 322 N. Market Street, Benton, Arkansas.
