William "Eddie" Stewart

William "Eddie" Stewart, a beloved member of his family and community, passed away on February 2, 2025, in North Little Rock, Arkansas, at the age of 62. Born on October 21, 1962, in Little Rock, Eddie brought warmth and joy wherever he went.

Eddie was a gifted molding technician who dedicated many years to his craft, earning respect and admiration from his peers. His laid-back demeanor and calm approach made him an easy person to connect with. He possessed a strong will and was known for his perfectionist nature. Eddie had a unique way of imparting his wisdom; rather than simply telling someone how to accomplish a task, he patiently guided them through the process, instilling a sense of confidence and competence in others.

Beyond his professional life, Eddie was passionate about cars, spending countless hours working on his prized possession—his old gray Monte Carlo. This car was a labor of love and a testament to his dedication. If he wasn't under the hood, you could find him strumming his acoustic guitar, letting melodies weave through the air. His favorite moments were spent on the banks of the Little Red River, fishing pole in hand, seeking the thrill of reeling in a trout. These simple pleasures were the essence of Eddie.

Eddie was most proud of his family, embodying a deep love and commitment to those he held dear. He is survived by his mother, Grace Heilman; sister, Laurie Sternberg (Erik); sons, Ian Stewart (Cortney) and Daniel Hays (Amy); grandchildren, Bryson Stewart, Adleigh Stewart, Daniel Hays Jr., Emma Hays, and Issac Hays; as well as nephew Alex Sternberg and niece Sarah Sternberg. Each of them carries a piece of his spirit in their hearts, forever impacted by his gentle presence and unwavering support.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on February 10, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, followed by a Celebration of Life from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, both at Smith Family Funeral Home in North Little Rock, Arkansas. Eddie will then be laid to rest in Forest Hills Cemetery in Alexander, Arkansas, during a burial service beginning at 3:00 PM.

Eddie's legacy will live on through the countless memories shared with those who were fortunate enough to know him. His laughter, kindness, and love will be dearly missed, but his spirit will continue to shine through the hearts of his family and friends.
