William Cleo “Cedar” Rowton, age 76, of Hot Springs, passed away, Tuesday, June 23, 2020.
Cedar was born on August 12, 1943, in Norman, the son of Garland James Rowton and Bessie Virginia Hopson Rowton. On December 31, 1971, Cedar married Arlene Frances Cash, they enjoyed 46 years of marriage until her death on September 19, 2018. He is also preceded in death by his parents; his brother James Earl Rowton.
Cedar worked for 40 plus years, until he retired, from Featherlite/Chamber Door, a window and door manufacturing company; his co-workers knew him as “Rowdy”. He had several hobbies, horse racing was really important to him, but he loved working on lawn mowers and many knew him as the “Lawn Mower Man”.
Cedar leaves behind, two nephews, Terry and Jennifer Rowton and David Rowton; two nieces, Tina Rowton and Lisa and Eddy Slick; great-nieces and nephews, Grace Slick, Clay Slick, Eli Rowton, Sierra Rowton, Ethan Sutton, Shena Sanders, Nathan Sanders, Hunter Denton and Axel Sanders; other extended family members and friends; and his two canine buddies, Minnie and Sandy.
A memorial visitation will be held from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Saturday, June 27, 2020, at the Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Hot Springs.
