William E. Byrd

William "Bill" Edward Byrd, age 77, passed away peacefully on August 12, 2024. Born on July 17, 1947, in Northville, Michigan, Bill was the beloved son of the late Lowell and Christine Byrd.

Bill is survived by his loving daughters, Rochelle McLemore (husband Tony) and Jayme Heji (wife Nancy). He will also be dearly missed by his grandchildren, Whitney and Erin Moberly, Randi Daniels (husband Keggin), Christopher Gilliam (wife Tiffany), Kiefer McLemore, and Maranda Barnes (wife Courtney), along with his great-grandchildren, Braxton Dorsey, Mary Lynn Daniels, Paislee McLemore, Preslee McLemore Ras Spann and Brent Spann..

Bill had a passion for life, especially when it came to cooking for his family, spending peaceful days fishing on the river with friends, and enjoying the loyal companionship of his dog, Boomer. His memory will forever be cherished by those who knew and loved him.

A visitation for Bill will be held from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home. Following the visitation, a burial with military honors will take place at 1:00 PM at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery, located at 1501 W. Maryland Ave., North Little Rock.
