William Pierce Bristow, Sr., 85, passed away December 28, 2016. Born in Danville to Pierce and Leoria Fryar Bristow, he was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in Korea and a carman for the railroad. He was also a master fisherman and loved his yard.
Preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Lynell Thompson Bristow and two sisters, Vivian King and Leona Wood, he is survived by his son, William Pierce Bristow, Jr.; grandson, William Pierce Bristow "Cup" III; brother, Harold Bristow, Sr. (Jane); nieces, Dodi Osam (Duane) and Sharon Desjardins (Larry); and a host of other relatives and friends.
Services will be held on Wednesday, January 4, at 1:30 p.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.), officiated by Rev. David Hoffman, followed by interment with Military Honors at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander. Visitation will precede the service, beginning at 12:30 p.m.
