William Bishop
W. C. Bishop age 83 of Arkadelphia died Sunday, December 13 2009 at his home. He was born January 22, 1926 the son of Wilbur and Ruby Dell Bishop. He was a retired master plumber, U.S. Navy Veteran of WWII and a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by one son Stanley Bishop.
Survivors include his wife Jessamine Thomas Bishop, one son Alan Bishop of Russellville, one daughter, Iris Kay Fason of Conway, two step children Sherry Cagle of Joan and Bud Thomas of Prescott, AZ, four grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 10 AM Wednesday, December 16, 2009 in the Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Hargett officiating with burial in Unity Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Tuesday at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Mt. Zion Baptist Church or Unity Cemetery c/o Tommy Medlock, 59 Ranch Rd., Arkadelphia, AR 71923.
