William "Bill" Otis Shirley

William "Bill' O. Shirley was born July 6, 1939 and went to his heavenly home October 6, 2022. He was first and foremost proud to be a child of God! He was a hard worker from a young age, jobs after school then joining the Air Force as a Military Policeman. It was during the service when he met his soulmate, Gloria, whom he married and spent the next 61 years loving! He loved staying busy and working on projects. Bill did HVAC, was a Master Plumber, a Master Electrician & was a committed deacon and served in the EI Faro Baptist Church.

Bill was preceded in death by his only daughter, Duuna Dee Westlake; his parents, Arthur and Effie Shirley; and his in-laws, J.D. and Doris Webb. He is survived by his wife, Gloria Shirley; his granddaughters, Sarah Coble (Bill), Rebekah Melson (TJ) and Leah Ellison (Robert); 8 1/2 great grandkids, Gavin, Carson, Kiara, Breckon, Caidon, Blaine, Mackenzie, Laney, & R2; two brothers, Travis Shirley (Marcia) & David Shirley & (Lou); and a sister, Dorcas Johnson (Nelson).

The family wishes to thank pastor, Jorge Vasquez, for his love and support along with Saline Memorial hospice for such great care during Bill's illness. The family also thanks all the family and friends for support during this difficult time.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday October 16, 2022, at 2:00 pm at El Faro Baptist Church in Little Rock. Arrangements entrusted to Smith Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct., Little Rock, AR 72205.
