William Edward “Bill” Dewberry, 64, of Bryant, Arkansas passed away February 16, 2022. He was born July 15, 1957 in Cook County, Illinois to the late Buddy and Loraine (Gluck) Dewberry.
Bill was always the life of the party and brightened the room when he walked in. He was a very giving man who would do anything for you. Bill could tell stories for hours about his job as a correctional officer where he was given the nickname “Mr. Dew”, as well as his hunting and fishing stories. He loved being a part of a big family who loved and supported each other. Family game nights were full of fun playing cards and spending time together. Bill loved his pets, and they were considered a part of the family too! Some of Bill’s favorite hobbies were hunting, fishing, and riding his Harley. He especially enjoyed fishing with his brother, Robert, and his grandsons, Jayce and Gunnar. He was a longtime member of the Rowell Hunting Club, as well as, a member of the Benton Gun Club. He loved going to the gun range with his family for a day of shooting. In his younger years, Bill would help his father with gardening and raising chickens. He had a booth in a flea market that he worked with his brother, sister, and grandson, Jayce. His hopes were to earn enough to buy a nice fishing boat.
Preceding Bill in death are his parents, Buddy and Loraine Dewberry; stepmother, Jean Dewberry; and grandparents: Velma Wood, and Alfred and Iona Levreau.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 23 years, Catherine Dewberry of Bryant, Arkansas; son, Shane Dewberry and wife Brittany of Alexander, Arkansas; grandchildren, Jayce and Gunnar Dewberry; brother, Robert Dewberry and wife Kathy of Benton, Arkansas; sister, Charlotte Derrick and husband Donald of Traskwood, Arkansas; stepbrother, Sandy Dryman and wife Kim of Shannon Hills, Arkansas; stepsister, Lynnette Seilkop and husband Jonathan of Deland, Florida; mother-in-law, Janet Brandt of Bryant, Arkansas; father-in-law, Earl Brandt of Klamath Falls, Oregon; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and friends who love Bill and will miss him always.
