William Beard

William Floyd "Bill" Beard, Jr., 51, of Vilonia, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, February 20, 2018. He was born August 1, 1966 in Conway, Arkansas.

He loved hunting, especially turkey, and was a true houndsman. Bill was family-oriented and loved his family beyond measure. He was a great dad, friend and teacher of life lessons. He had the rough hands of a working man, but a soft heart. He will be forever remembered for his piercing blue eyes and his gift of gab. Every day he enjoyed coffee with "the old men" at the Hwy 5 and 319 One Stop and spent his Saturdays at the Beebe sale barn wheeling and dealing.

He is survived by his wife Shannon (Cates) Beard; children Dustin Beard, Justin Reaves, Dalton Smith, Levi Beard, Timothy Beard and Jesse Beard; one granddaughter, Aliah Bryant; parents William (Shelley) Beard, Sr. and Nanette Ramsey; and siblings Betsy Huett, Amy McClellan, Jody Beard, Lori Tedford and Alicia Huskanovic.

He was preceded in death by his niece, Bethany Cross.

Memorials may be made to Conway Cowboy Church, 12 AR-36, Conway, AR 72032.

Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. Saturday, February 24, 2018 at Conway Cowboy Church with funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Cypress Valley Cemetery, Vilonia. Arrangements by Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home. www.SmithFamilyCares.com
